on the field can be spent ministering to the best of their abilities.

Recommended packing list

Because on occasion luggage may not make a timely arrival, it has proven wise to have each team member pack an extra change of clothes in their carryon, as well as anything they could not do without during their trip and all valuables such as cameras & money.

Please bring your personal funds in cash, make sure all the bills do not have marks or tears (marked or torn bills are very hard to exchange into the local currency). Many banks will not except $100.00 that have serial numbers starting with CB.

It is a good idea to pack all items in ziplock plastic baggies. It will not only help with organization, but will help keep things dry as well.

Items to pack

Bible, small notebook, and pen.

Toilet paper

Flashlight & extra batteries

Any medication you might need, Immodium, Pepto Bismol, aspirins, cough drops, lip balm, etc.

Camera & film or digital camera

Snacks

Spanish/English dictionary (if desired)

*Sleeping gear (if needed)

**Rain poncho/umbrella

*Sleeping gear will depend on where your team is going. For hot areas we suggest a light sleeping bag or sheet & light blanket along with an air mattress or sleeping pad.

For cool areas we suggest a sleeping bag along with an air mattress or sleeping pad.

Check with your team leader concerning the area you will be going to.

**Rain gear might be needed during anytime of the year, but is a necessity during the rain season, May-Oct.

Pack as light as possible, what you bring you carry!!

medical recommendations

Required Immunizations

Tetanus booster within last ten years.

Hepatitis "A" or "A" & "B"

On some trips Anti-Malaria pills are also recommended. Talk to your team leader regarding your trip.

We also recommend that you consult your personal physician and contact www.cdc.gov/travel/ to get more medical information.

team packing ideas

Each team member is allowed two pieces of checked luggage and one carry-on. We recommend that each team member only use one piece of luggage and their carry-on. This will allow the team as a group to fill remaining pieces of allowed luggage with give away items that the missionary and team leader have decided that the team should bring.

We would prefer that you do not bring back backs with metal tubing.
